SUMMARY:Education/Workforce Development Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Dr. Linda Mack\, CFISD\, Coordinator of Transition and Family Services\n\nTopic: For the Love (or not) of Math!\n\n As students transition to life after high school\, they need to start thinking about the careers they want and the education and/or training that will get them to those high-paying jobs. They all need to understand what they like and don't like in order to land the career that will be most satisfying and successful for them. Sometimes\, those considerations revolve around the academic subjects that they love as well as those that might give them pause. But\, whether they love math or not\, there are education/training and employment paths that will take them into adulthood.\n\n\n\nBio:\n\nWith over 30 years of experience in special education at all grade levels Dr. Mack has served as a classroom teacher\, Reading Recovery specialist\, diagnostician\, campus administrator\, and\, for the last 3 and a half years\, a district coordinator over Transition and Family Services. She has presented for numerous parent groups over the years and most recently in 2022 and 2023 at the state TAVAC Conference.
