Description
Speaker: Sharon Humphrey, Manager - Clinical Services and Programs - St. Luke’s Health - The Vintage
Topic: Save a Brain: Stroke Education
Bio:
A compassionate and progressive Nursing Leader with over 30 years of experience managing and collaborating with multidisciplinary health care teams in the acute care, community, academic, and trauma hospital settings. Leading women’s services and care management departments, improving throughput, promoting professional development of staff, creating and sustaining a culture of nursing excellence, and spearheading the Magnet® journey are key strengths.
My current journey to excellence is dedicated to the care and healing of stroke and trauma patients.
Current Role: Manager - Clinical Services and Programs; I am the Manager of Stroke and Trauma services at St. Luke’s Health - The Vintage. Recent celebrations include: The Vintage Hospital obtaining our first Stroke Center certification and designation by the State. We are intentional in adding another designation within the next two years as a Trauma service as well.
My journey has taken me over many thousands of miles across the country helping build strong nursing care that deeply impacts the community in which it is centered.
Prior to fulfilling my dream to serve as a registered nurse, I was deeply entrenched in the music industry - most fun ever! Personally, my current passion is writing children’s books, which has been ongoing for many years now. We are in the process of a new series, anticipated publication release either end of 2025 or early 2026.
