Speakers: Curtis Townsend, ED Director at St. Luke’s Vintage and Jeremy Jones, Stroke & Chest Pain Program Coordinator
Topic: Your Health, Your Hands: Recognizing Critical Stroke & Chest Pain Symptoms
Curtis Townsend RN, BSN, CEN, MHA, NE-BC is the Emergency Department Director at St. Luke's Health-The Vintage Hospital. With over 30 years as an Emergency Department nurse and over 12 years as a Director of Emergency Services, his experience is extensive. He has worked in hospitals ranging from community facilities to larger academic centers, including trauma centers, with FTEs up to 140+ in both complex systems and stand-alone hospitals. He has a strong passion for nurse empowerment and shared governance as evidenced by his long standing and extensive work with the Emergency Nurses Association where he was honored as the National ENA Manager/Leader of Year in 2020.
Jeremy Jones, RN, CEN is the Stroke and Chest Pain Program Coordinator at St. Luke's Health-The Vintage Hospital, a role he's held since January 2026. Jeremy has dedicated all 8 years of his nursing career to CommonSpirit, including time spent at a Trauma Center, a Chest Pain Center and here at our Primary Stroke Center. He developed deep expertise in emergent care through his extensive experience in the Emergency Department, including 7 years as a Charge Nurse. He is committed to advancing community health through high quality care and critical education on stroke and heart attacks.
