Belinda Medious Bio:
Belinda Medious is a passionate and experienced Rehabilitation Counselor with the Texas Workforce Commission – Vocational Rehabilitation (TWC-VR), where she is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities achieve meaningful employment and greater independence. Her career reflects over 25 years of service in education and rehabilitation, blending compassion, expertise, and a deep commitment to empowering others.
Belinda’s professional journey began in Louisiana, where she grew up and later met the love of her life, her husband of 39 years. She earned her master’s degree in Special Education from Jackson State University and spent 15 years as a Special Education teacher. In this role, she worked closely with students, families, and educators to create supportive learning environments that fostered academic growth, self-advocacy, and life skills. Her work in education inspired her to return to college and further specialize in Rehabilitation Counseling, opening the door to a new chapter in her career.
Over the past 11 years, Belinda has worked as a Rehabilitation Counselor in North Dakota, Iowa, and now Texas, building a track record of success in guiding individuals toward their vocational goals. Since joining TWC-VR in Houston, she has primarily served the Cy-Fair ISD community, working with students from Bridgeland High School, Cy-Park High School, the Dorothy Carlton Center, and other campuses. Her role extends beyond the classroom, as she develops and coordinates work-based learning opportunities that help students explore career options and gain hands-on experience.
