Speaker: Brian Meza, Executive Director of Petra Cares
Topic: How Petra Cares provides workforce development and job placement to young adults who have aged out of the foster care system, are economically disadvantaged, and at-risk
Bio:
Brian Meza has devoted his adult life to helping youth and young adults find their purpose and achieve their dreams. A veteran youth worker of over 30 years, Brian is known for his ability to build and scale projects from the ground up. He has led successful projects for national and international non-profits such as Young Life and KSBJ in Houston, Texas. At Petra Cares, Brian sets the vision and leads the execution of a proven strategy that trains youths aging out of foster care and opportunity youth in the automotive tech space and helps them find gainful employment. When he’s not working, Brian can be found in coffee shop reading a good book and enjoying a great cup of coffee or cheering on one of his favorite sports teams. Brian currently resides in Houston, Texas.
