About The Connection School of Houston

The Connection School of Houston is a Christian community committed to discipling children to love God with all of their hearts, souls, and minds and to love others as themselves.

    About the PositionGeneral Description

    Job summary: The Secondary Principal will oversee the operation of the secondary grades (6th-12th) and provide leadership and supervision to the teaching staff. The strong leadership and oversight will help support and accomplish the overall mission of the school.

    Responsible to: Head of School
    Supervises: Teachers, Volunteer Staff (when available), and Teacher Aids
    Evaluated: An annual written evaluation is provided by the Head of School
    Type of position: This is a contracted, exempt employee that is paid on a salaried basis.

Required Professional Qualities

It is expected that the Secondary Principal will ...

? Hold a Master’s degree from an accredited postsecondary institution or be willing to participate in a program to complete such a degree within a specified time period.

? Have a minimum of four years of successful classroom teaching experience, and two years of successful administration experience, preferably in a Christian school.

  • ?  Have a clear understanding in Christian classical philosophy and pedagogy.

  • ?  Have experience in the implementation of a liberal arts education.
