Job Description
Spring Branch Community Health Center is a private, non-profit community health center providing quality and affordable healthcare services to the underserved community of Spring Branch. Our mission is to provide comprehensive healthcare services to all patients and to become the healthcare home for residents in this community.
 
Mid-Level Provider - Pediatrics Provider will fill the growing needs of the West Houston Community and work with other providers (including Family & OB) to coordinate patient care.
  • Provides medical services, but only as delegated by the supervising Chief Medical Officer.
  • Prescribe medications and make recommendations for other forms of treatment.
  • Maintains medical expertise and competency as well as demonstrates thorough knowledge of procedures to deliver quality primary medical care. Provides medical sessions, as scheduled, in direct patient care at health center.
  • Examines, diagnoses, treats and/or refers patients for appropriate specialty care services.
  • Reviews all lab and x-ray reports for patients under his/her care on a timely basis and makes medical management decisions appropriately. Follows appropriate standards of care for each patient.
  • Maintains a problem oriented health record for each patient seen in accordance with the health center’s established information management policies and procedures.
  • Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic studies and medical protocols.
  • Provide education and support to patients and receive and address patient’s questions and problems.
  • Collaborates with Chief Medical Director, Physician Assistant, Clinical Quality Manager, Site Supervisor, Medical Assistants and Front Desk Staff and other team members to assess the needs of patient.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • License to practice as a Physician Assistant or Advance Practice Nurse with prescriptive authority in the State of Texas
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) and Board Certification in specialty
  • 3 years of experience
  • Proficiency in Computer Skills and Electronic Health Records
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish is preferred
