• Security: 3 years (Required)
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• Construction: 3 years (Preferred)

Full Job Description:
The Security Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, and troubleshooting access control equipment and IP-based video systems including but not limited to electrified and non-electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices, IP and analog cameras, head-end video recording devices, wired and wireless systems, and intercom systems. Projects are in highly visible environments and active construction sites. Professionalism is required. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Read and understand electrical schematics, PDF drawings, and related documents
• Lay out work and prepare materials for installation
• Install cabling, mount equipment, install card readers, door contacts, mag locks, electrified strikes, and integrated systems
• Understand low-voltage systems, relays, normally closed/normally open circuits
• Assemble and install access control panels, power supplies, and cable pathways (CAT, coax, low voltage)
• General understanding of Network Topology
• Test voltage and continuity using a multi-meter
• Troubleshoot using mechanical and computer skills
• Operate hand tools and necessary equipment
• Document and report progress to Project Managers and customers
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with staff and customers
• Perform other duties as instructed by supervisor
• Meet attendance standards and comply with notification procedures

Security or Alarm License:  Preferred
