About Us

Welcome to Nelson Family Orthodontics, the privately owned office of Dr. Robert W. Nelson. We pride ourselves on hand crafting smiles that serve and empower our local Cypress and Northwest Houston communities. Dr. Nelson was born and raised in Alvin, Texas and graduated as salutatorian from Alvin High School. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he studied biology and business, graduating in the top 4% with highest honors. He earned his doctorate in dentistry from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston, receiving multiple awards in research and clinical dentistry. Dr. Nelson was then selected for three-year orthodontic residency at the Georgia School of Orthodontics in Atlanta, where he also completed a fellowship in clear aligner therapy. His services range from early interceptive treatments to adolescent and adult orthodontics, offering both traditional braces and the latest clear aligners. Dr. Nelson has achieved the honor of being Board- Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Nelson and his team are proud supporters of Cy-Fair ISD, as well as numerous local churches and charity causes.
