Part-Time Class Instructor
Do you have a passion for working with children and a strong sense of business and leadership? Romp n’ Roll, a premier play-based learning gym for children ages 3 months to 5 years, is seeking a Part-Time Instructor to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone with a retail or customer service , and has a passion for leading engaging group activities and parties for toddlers and mommy & me classes.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach fun, play-based classes for children and parents
- Review weekly curriculum and lessons plans
- Lead a variety of gym and art classes
- Ability to be engaging and perform at a high level for all classes and birthday parties
Qualifications
- Previous retail, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
- Experience working with young children strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Energetic, positive personality and a natural ability to connect with families
- Comfort with sales conversations and promoting services
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to actively participate in and lead children’s activities

- Part-time: 10-25 hours per week (depends on performance and availability)

- This position requires working mornings, evenings, and weekends. Are you able to commit to a flexible schedule including weekends?
- Do you have reliable transportation to consistently commute to work and to be on-call as necessary?
- This role involves being active on your feet, leading children in play-based classes. Please describe any experience you have in leading groups of children or with performing in front of an audience (for example, singing in the choir)
- Do you have prior experience working with children under age 6 (in any capacity: childcare, teaching, babysitting, coaching, etc.)? If so, please briefly describe.
- Describe your experience or comfort level in sales activities such as promoting memberships, booking birthday parties and upselling services.
- Please briefly describe any teaching experience you may have.
- Do you understand that hours may fluctuate week to week based upon the class schedule, attendance rates, and birthday party bookings? Given such, hours are never guaranteed.
- Is there any additional information you'd like to share regarding your schedule, experience, or considerations?
- This role is for part-time. Hours are not guaranteed and can vary week to week depending upon the store schedule. Is this in alignment with your employment needs?
- This role is for an immediate hire. If selected, are you able to begin training within the next 1-2 weeks?
